In addition to Father’s Day and the first day of summer, June is filled with many other national holidays, special observances, and celebrations.

June 20 is the longest day of the year with the most daylight hours in the Northern Hemisphere. In recognition that the weather is getting warmer, June serves as Great Outdoors Month and also is the national month for camping, roses, and rivers. June also brings to us National Donut Day (June 4) and Best Friends Day (June 8). Juneteenth falls on June 19 in recognition of slavery’s abolition in Texas on that day in 1865. National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), National Kissing Day (June 22), Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (June 24) Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27).

Pride Month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969.

And, did you know that the month of June is considered auspicious for weddings because it’s named after Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage, home, and family?

Therefore, June is not only a beautiful month when the weather is just perfect, not too hot and not too cold, but in June we get the opportunity to celebrate and recognize human beings for being themselves, because after all, Love is Love is Love.

This year we have decided to support three magnificent organizations that are near and dear to our hearts, Special Olympics and the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) and The Living Wish Foundation.
We proudly donate a portion of our income from real estate sales to all three of these organizations.

As you probably know, Special Olympics has impacted the lives of its athletes in profound ways, most notably in building self confidence, friendships and self-esteem.

The GTHS is a non-profit charity that operates an animal center serving the South Georgian Bay region by providing shelter for homeless animals and adopting them to caring families.

The Living Wish Foundation is devoted to making the world a better place helping terminally ill patients re-frame hope and realize their dreams.
And remember… Your Referrals Help Continue the Life Changing Work by Special Olympics, The GTHS and The Living Wish Foundation!
